You’ll still have the secure, reliable cloud faxing and powerful fax features you know today, now alongside AI-powered document processing, intelligent automation, forms and eSignatures, SMS, voice, video, and more. Here’s what you’ll unlock when you upgrade from iFax to Amplify. ## AI-Powered Document Intelligence 🧠 ### New Document Classification Amplify can automatically identify incoming document types, such as referrals, lab results, orders, authorizations, and more. Documents can be classified as soon as they arrive, making it easier to organize work and build automated workflows around different document types. ### New Patient Data Extraction Amplify can automatically identify and extract patient information from incoming documents, including names, dates of birth, patient IDs, contact information, addresses, and other key identifiers. Instead of manually reviewing documents for patient details, teams can turn that information into structured data that can be searched, routed, and used throughout Amplify. ### New Provider, Facility & Insurance Data Extraction Provider and coverage information can now be extracted directly from documents, including referring providers, NPIs, facility details, insurance plans, subscriber information, guarantors, and more. This makes it easier to process referrals and other document-heavy workflows without manually re-entering information. ### New Clinical & Diagnostic Data Extraction Amplify can now extract clinical information including diagnoses, visit details, ICD and CPT codes when available, order dates, lab results, test values, units, and reference ranges. Important clinical data that previously lived only inside a document can now become structured information teams can review and use in downstream workflows. ### New Document Intelligence & Prioritization Amplify can identify important dates, urgency indicators, and other signals within documents, including referral dates, procedure dates, visit dates, and priority reasons. Teams can use this context to identify time-sensitive work faster and prioritize what needs attention first. ### New Advanced Automation Fields Extracted patient, provider, insurance, clinical, document, and metadata fields can now be used as conditions within Amplify automations, allowing workflows to respond to the actual information contained inside a document. **Example:** Receive a referral → classify it automatically → extract the patient, provider, and insurance information → identify it as urgent → route it to the correct team. ## Dashboard & Document Management 📄 ### Updated Enriched Dashboard + Custom Columns Dashboard views can now surface more information about each fax and document, with configurable columns that let teams choose which operational details matter most. Review key information, filter work, and understand what needs attention without opening every document individually. ### New Inline Document Preview Preview documents directly from the fax dashboard without opening them in a separate view. A quick hover gives teams a faster way to identify documents and move through high-volume queues with fewer clicks. ### New Document Splitting Multi-page documents and fax packets can now be separated into individual documents, making it easier to route, process, file, and manage items that arrive together. ### Updated Folder Management + Starred Folders Folders are easier to organize and manage with improved visibility, a streamlined management experience, and the ability to star frequently used folders for faster access. ### Updated Performance Improvements We’ve made improvements across Amplify to make core fax and document workflows faster and more responsive, especially for teams managing high volumes of daily work. ## Collect: Forms & eSignature ✍️ ### New Forms & AI-Powered Intake Teams can now create forms to collect structured information directly in Amplify. Forms can support patient intake, document collection, internal workflows, and follow-up processes without relying on disconnected PDFs, email threads, or manual data entry. ### New eSignature Send documents for electronic signature directly through Amplify. Teams can collect completed signatures without requiring recipients to print, sign, scan, and return documents through a separate tool. ## Engage: Messaging, Voice & Video 💬 ### New SMS & Secure Messaging Amplify now supports secure SMS and messaging for external communication and internal collaboration. Teams can follow up, coordinate work, and keep conversations connected to the workflows they support. ### New Voice Calling Place calls directly from Amplify when a workflow needs a real conversation. Teams can quickly follow up on urgent, stalled, or unclear work without switching to a separate phone system. ### New Video Calling Start video conversations from Amplify when messaging or a phone call isn’t enough. Video gives teams another way to collaborate, explain information, and coordinate more complex conversations in real time. ### Updated More Ways to Send Documents The fax compose experience now brings additional communication options into one place. In addition to fax, users can send documents through secure email and secure SMS, making it easier to choose the right channel without jumping between separate tools. ## Contacts & Workflow Coordination 👥 ### Updated Advanced Contact Management Contacts can now hold richer information, including support for patient contacts and a more complete activity history. Teams can see relevant communications and document interactions together, creating more context around the people involved in a workflow. ### New CSV Import with Field Mapping Importing data from CSV is now easier with guided field mapping. Match uploaded columns to the correct Amplify fields before importing to reduce cleanup and make migrations more reliable. ## Admin, Security & Compliance 🔐 ### New Detailed HIPAA Activity Logs Amplify now provides more detailed visibility into user activity across documents, workflows, and account actions. Expanded activity tracking gives regulated teams better support for auditing, compliance oversight, and internal accountability. ### Updated Advanced Permissions Permissions have been expanded across Amplify, giving admins more precise control over access to features, documents, folders, and team workflows.
