# Document Preview

> View, manage, annotate, and interact with fax documents directly from the preview screen.

The Fax Document Preview allows you to review fax pages, access document details, use AI-powered tools, and perform document actions without leaving the viewer.

# Open a fax document

Open any fax record from the dashboard to access the document preview screen.

You can:

* View multi-page fax documents
* Search document content
* Use AI-powered document assistance
* Annotate or edit pages
* Access OCR and extracted field data
* Review transmission details and logs
* Share or forward documents in multiple ways
* Assign label, move to a folder, assign this document

# Document navigation

Use the left sidebar to browse document pages.

* Select page thumbnails to preview pages
* Navigate through multi-page documents
* View page count and zoom level
* Collapse or expand the page panel for more workspace

  Use the page navigator at the bottom of the viewer to quickly move between pages.

# Search inside document

Use the search bar at the top to find text within the fax document.

This feature works with OCR-enabled documents and helps quickly locate information without manually reviewing every page.

# Document toolbar actions

The top toolbar provides quick access to document actions.

## Available actions

* **Annotate document** — Highlight or mark up pages
* **Add notes** — Attach internal collaboration notes
* **AI tools** — Access AI-powered fax assistance
* **Print document** — Print the current fax
* **Download document** — Export the fax locally
* **Share or forward document** — Send the document using multiple delivery methods
* **Delete document** — Permanently remove the fax

# Page actions

Use the page options menu to manage individual pages.

## Available page actions

* **Rotate Left** — Rotate the selected page counterclockwise
* **Rotate Right** — Rotate the selected page clockwise
* **Rotate 180°** — Flip the page upside down
* **Delete Page** — Remove the selected page from the document

# Share and send options

Documents can be shared or forwarded directly from the preview screen.

## Send with

Available delivery methods include:

* **Fax** — Send as a standard fax
* **Secure Fax** — Send as an encrypted fax
* **Message** — Share through secure messaging
* **FHIR** — Send using FHIR-compatible workflows
* **Share Link** — Generate a shareable document link

## Workflow actions

Additional workflow options include:

* **Request eSignature**
* **Attach to Patient Contact**
* **Export to EHR**

# AI Workspace

The AI Workspace helps you interact with fax documents using AI-powered tools.

## AI Chat

Use AI Chat to ask questions about the fax document and generate quick insights.

Examples include:

* Identify important issues
* Extract patient or business information
* Generate structured tables from document data

# OCR and Field Data

## OCR tab

The OCR tab displays machine-readable text extracted from scanned fax pages.

Use OCR data to:

* Search document content
* Copy extracted text
* Review recognized text from scanned pages

## Field Data tab

The Field Data section displays structured information extracted using AI and OCR processing.

Examples may include:

* Patient names
* Dates
* Fax numbers
* Invoice details
* Custom AI-extracted fields

# Fax details, info and logs

The Details panel provides important fax metadata and activity information.

You can view:

* Transmission details
* Delivery status
* Processing timestamps
* Retry attempts
* Credit usage
* Page count
* Activity logs
* Notes
* Contact information mentioned in the document
