Attachments and files

Amplify Messages supports sending attachments such as:
  • Images and screenshots
  • PDFs and documents
  • Other supported file formats
Attachments appear inline within the conversation, making it easy to review shared content.

Managing conversations

Each conversation includes quick actions to help you stay organized. From the conversation menu, you can:
  • Save Contact – Add the number as a saved contact
  • Pin Chat – Keep important conversations at the top
  • Copy Link – Share a direct link to the conversation
  • Block Number – Prevent future messages from a sender
  • Mark as done – Indicate the conversation has been handled
  • Mark as unread – Return the conversation to an unread state
  • Clear Chat – Remove the conversation history from view
These actions help teams manage high message volume efficiently.
Clearing a chat removes the conversation history from your view but does not affect message delivery or future conversations with the same number.

Message filters

Use filters to quickly organize and prioritize conversations in the Messages inbox. Filters help teams focus on what needs attention and track conversation status at a glance. The following filters are available:
  • Open – Shows active conversations that haven’t been marked as done
  • Done – Displays conversations that have been completed or resolved
  • Unread – Surfaces conversations with unread messages
  • Unresponded – Highlights conversations where no reply has been sent yet
Filters can be combined with pinned chats and timestamps to manage high message volume more efficiently.
Filters only affect how conversations are displayed in your inbox. They don’t impact message delivery or conversation history.

Message status and activity

Conversations display recent activity timestamps, helping you quickly identify active or pending conversations. Unread messages remain highlighted until opened. Pinned conversations stay visible at the top of the list for quick access.

When to use Messages

Messages are ideal for:
  • Quick follow-ups and confirmations
  • Sharing documents or screenshots
  • Ongoing conversations that don’t require fax or email
  • Team-based communication tied to a shared number
For longer or more formal document workflows, consider using fax or email-based features instead.
