Overview
With Email-to-Fax, you can:- Send a fax from any supported email client
- Control who is allowed to send faxes by email
- Use email subject and body as fax cover page content
- Attach documents to be delivered as fax pages
Enable and configure Email-to-Fax
- Go to Settings → Fax Settings -> Email to Fax.
- Choose who is allowed to send faxes via email:
- Not allowed
- Account users only
- Anyone with a verified domain
- If domain-based access is enabled, add and verify allowed domains.
- Save your changes.
Only emails sent from allowed and verified domains or users will be processed.
How to send a fax via email
- Create a new email.
- In the To field, enter the fax address in this format:
[faxnumber]@ifax.com - Add a subject (optional).
- Write your email body (optional).
- Attach your document files.
- Send the email.
Field mapping

- Email body → Cover page note (optional)
- Attachments → Fax pages
Supported attachments include PDF, DOC, and image files, with a maximum size of 20 MB per email.
Additional settings
- Populate cover page “From” field with sender name
When enabled, the sender’s name is automatically added to the fax cover page.
